Visit the Second Baptist Connection to Freedom and take a historical ride on a train that traveled on no tracks. Sit in the Croghan Street Station and hear the story of runaways escaping slavery who rested in secret in a basement room of the church before crossing the Detroit River to Canada and “Freedom.”

Sunday Tours are available only to visitors who join us for worship service. A limited tour is conducted immediately afterwards, beginning generally around 12:30 pm.
Donations become offerings and are collected by Ushers. Tours never interfere with worship services.
** NOTE: First Sunday of each month is “Communion Sunday.” Services are longer.
Lecture Tours are more age appropriate for children old enough to read or, of course, at the discretion of parents. But all are welcome.
